Stray Cats - World Cat Day

2 days ago, Selby was walking in the neighborhood, then she saw 3 stray cats and a stray kitten at the cement trash bin.
The 2 stray cats that look alike (are they twins?) were enjoying the day and the other was busy digging the trash.
And as for the kitten.... *speechless*

Btw, we found out that today is the World Cat Day, therefor we would like to wish "Happy World Cat Day" to every cats out there!

  2. Well we wish we could take some nice food out to those cats for World Cat Day - there are still too many cats out there living on the streets.

  11. It always breaks my heart to see stray cats. A few of my neighbors and I feed the strays in our complex. We do try to catch them and get them spayed/neutered to keep down the kitten populations sigh.

  12. oh no,

I hope u are helping to feed them (and clearing their extra food afterthat)

The best way is to catch the female and sterilise them before letting them back. This way you can help to control the population

  14. Aww...that is so sad! If my human, Paul, was walking past, he'd snatch up that kitten in an instant to bring home (well, he'd probably bring all of them home!) - he loves cats and always feels so bad for the ones that are homeless...

  16. If every person in the world would rescue only one cat a year, then soon there would be no strays! I used to rescue cats in Amman, Jordan. It broke my heart that people would harm these loving creatures and frighten them so that they feared people. It would take me weeks to take the "feral" out of them. After that, I found homes for them. And I did end up keeping 6 of them. One that was nearly dead when I rescued it and an older stray with anemia, loved to sleep in the bed beside, head on the pillow and covered with blankets! Each had its own personality and, over time, learned to trust people -- something that they are born doing but soon learn not to. As I said, sad!
